Our Troop meeting will be held this week on Thursday at 6:45pm, and we are going on a bike ride. Meet at the church at 6:45, and we will be off to Elephant Park for some soccer. Then we'll move to Longfellow School for basketball, and Trollwood for some Frisbee golf (Parents can you please bring some frisbees for this event). Finally we will meet back at the church for refreshments. The advancement committee will be there to review Scouts. Our next Court of Honor will be next Thursday, May 24. Remember that we are getting ready for summer camps to Wilderness and Many Point, and we'd like you to finish signing up so you can get the merit badge courses that you would like. Please see the announcement containing the merit badge and activity schedules. Finally there will be a committee meeting led my our Committee Chair Nick Geray. All parents and Scout leaders are welcome.

There is an order going in for $15- grey short sleeve t-shirts that say "reboot." Includes a picture of a large bootprint and some Scouts hiking up the bootprint, with our Troop #214. sizes S-M-L-XL-XXL (add $1 for XXL). Troop 214 is having a late spring camping trip to Happy Valley (the Ekre Ranch) southwest of Kindred, ND on Friday, April 27 to Sunday, April 29. Directions are attached to this announcement. This is the same location as the 2011 Fall Camp in October. The camp will be at the NDSU Foundation owned Ekre Ranch. We will be working on several great Eagle projects to create a historic wagon trail loop hiking route and campsite for the North Country Trail, a 4,600 mile, seven-state route that ends in the center of North Dakota. We will meet Friday April 27th leaving at 5:30 from 9 1/2 Street next to Faith United church. For those that cannot leave Friday, feel welcome to come out Saturday, and anyone that wants to just come out for the day and help, that would be great. Scouts should eat before departing as we will be setting up camp and then have crackerbarrel Friday night.   This is a working camp so bring gloves, hats, water and your overnight camping equipment. New Scouts will be working on totenship & fire safety. All Scouts will be working on soil and water conservation as they help with trail construction. You should bring the same camping equipment that you normally take to summer camp, this includes a plate, fork, knife, cup and water bottle. The Ekre property is located SW of Kindred on ND highway 18. We will be able to park cars right next to where we are camping. Scouts should bring their class A uniform as we will have a ceremony to retire several American flags on Sat. evening. We will be back around eleven am on Sunday. Cost is $20 per Scout. It is time to register and make a down payment for both Camp Wilderness (July 22-28) and Many Point Camp (July 29-Aug 4) .  Please see the instructions below for each camp:

For those that have a free Saturday morning, meet at the Evergreen Conference Center (corner of 27th St and 3rd Avenue) on Sat. morning at 9:30. We will start with Citizenship in the Community and Plumbing from 9:30-11:15. Finger Printing and Insect Study meeting from 11:20-12:10. Hot Pizza lunch provided at 12:10. Faith United Methodist Church has a clean up day this Saturday. Any Scout or family not involved in COMB is welcome to help starting at 10:00am at the Church parking lot.
