Coin Collecting Merit Badge Completed – Congratulations Scouts!

Jim Svobodny met with our scouts 4 times and 10 scouts completed the Coin Collecting Merit Badge. Jim was a fellow scout member of those founding Troop 214 in 1960 and returned to celebrate the Troop’s 50th anniversary in 2008. We videoed much of the 4 sessions and you can view these by visiting www.youtube.com and searching for boyscoutstroop214. Also some photos are posted in the Photo Album. Thanks Jim and we look forward to seeing you in the fall at the Troop’s Pitchfork Fondue Gathering. Have a happy summertime! Troop 214. See attahed photos.

Troop 214 Self-Assessment Instrument

Objective and Instruction:     The objective of the Troop 214 Self-Assessment Instrument is to assess your views on the Troop’s leadership, programs, membership, and your personal commitment and involvement. This self-assessment is anonymous but if you want you may add your name. Please use the Rating Scale to rate each question and if you are not familiar with an item, mark it 0. You can complete the assessment here by placing and X to the right of the number indicating your assessment, save this file, and then email it to Steven.Scherling@t214.com. Or you can print out the assessment, complete, and return at the next Troop meeting. After the responses have been tabulated they will be discussed. Your participation in this assessment is important. This is a BSA Questionnaire designed for Troop self-assessment. See attachment.

Raising Dollars May 16

Posted on May 11 2010 - 3:51pm

This fundraiser has been rescheduled to May 16.

Ken was contacted by a tree service that is looking for people to distribute door hangers in south Fargo about their company. The pay $0.20/door hanger and have about 3000 to be hung. The parents thought the $600 dollars beats selling door-to-door or  making Pizza Corner all day in Valley City.  If you are going to be in town Sunday, May 16,  morning at 9:30 scouts and a few parents to help drive are asked to meet at the Church to car pool down and get the details where these door hangers are to be placed. Lee Kemmer has agreed to coordinate this fund raiser, so if you can help or have questions please contact him.
