Starting with the last Patrol Council Meeting 5.13.10 monthly meetings will be videoed with complete coverage available on DVDs and shorter clips to be posted on YouTube. The objective of this project is for scouts and parents to see the Troop’s main decision making team in action. A secondary objective is for scouts interested in the photography and cinematography merit badge to use these meeting as the focus of these merit badge efforts, which could also develop into an Eagle Scout Project and for sure into their Eagle Scout banquet presentation. If a scout is interested contact Aaron.Scherling@gmail.com.

Troop 214 Self-Assessment Exercise

Posted on May 15 2010 - 11:03am

There was a good response from adults and several Eagle Scouts to the Troop 214 Self-Assessment Instrument. Of the 30 questionnaires that were distributed at the last meeting May 13, we received 21 responses. If you didn't turn your response in, bring it to the next meeting, or you can mail it to Scherling 1314 Oak St., Fargo 58102, or down load the file, complete, and e-mail it to steven.scherling@t1214.com. If you have not completed the self-assessment, we will continue to receive responses until the next Troop Committee Meeting June10, when the results will be presented and discussed. It was interesting to see in the last meeting that the Troop is now being told that it must comply with BSA training standards and that this is part of the self-assessment exercise we are completing.
